Welcome to Tulā Integrated Wellness
तुल

I am Dominique a Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher.
I am passionate about my work and dedicated to helping you so that you can make the changes needed to live contentedly.
Life has its ups and downs; we can all lose our sense of balance at times. If you’re feeling low, anxious or suffering from trauma or low self-esteem. I can offer you a safe and non-judgmental space to restore balance.
I am a fully qualified BABCP accredited Psychotherapist. I have worked therapeutically and I have been teaching yoga & meditation for 10 years.
Sessions with me can be in person or online. I work holistically by tailoring support plans to your specific needs. I specialise in CBT, hypnotherapy and therapeutic yoga sessions, I am currently training in EMDR. These modalities can be used separately or be combined for an integrated approach.

My Approach
Tulā means balance in ‘Sanskrit’ which is an ancient language, derived in India. In 2015, I embarked on my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India and later in Mysore, India. I wanted to honour that part of my transformative learning journey, because I love that the spiritual teachings of the East incorporate the interrelatedness of the mind, body and spirit.
I strongly believe that this is the best way to approach wellbeing. This is where the ‘Integrated Wellness’ part of the name came from. I endeavour to share knowledge of these Eastern philosophies and to merge that wisdom with Western philosophies such as CBT and EMDR. Eastern teachings encourage us to view the different aspects of ourselves as part of a whole so that we can be in union and be the best version of ourselves.
I believe that being aware of the effects that the mind has on both the body and both our physical and spiritual wellbeing is key to lasting health. This is why I will sometimes incorporate meditation, movement breathing and relaxation into my sessions.
My CBT training has allowed me to support people in an evidence based, structured way that supports people to make progress. I am committed working in a person – centred way and love doing the work that I do.
Together we will explore what’s affecting your life the most, then devise a plan on how to overcome these issues, so that you can flourish. We will explore and agree on the best way to approach your problem of focus so that you can reach your goals and ultimately leave therapy feeling balance has been restored.

Issues I can support you with:
- Anxiety (health, social, general)
- Depression
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Low self-esteem
- Trauma / PTSD
- Panic / Agoraphobia
- Relationship issues
- Behavioural issues
I work with children, young people and adults, adapting sessions to the relevant groups to meet specific needs. I am compassionate, warm, empathetic and approachable. I invite you to get in touch for a free 15-minute consultation and look forward to hearing from you.
I’m dedicated to making therapy accessible for all, so, if finances are preventing you from getting help, please get in touch to discuss other potential options that will help (e.g. reduced rates, self-help resources).
List of services
CBT Sessions
(12-20 sessions, 50-60 minutes)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can be online or face to face. CBT is an evidence based talking therapy that teaches coping mechanisms for a range of different problems. CBT explores your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to identify what is making you feel bad and keeping the problems in your life going. It is a structured, and active therapy which will require you to work together with the therapist and to do some tasks outside of sessions. CBT focuses on the here and now and encourages you to make positive changes to your behaviour by being mindful of how you think.
Yoga and Mindfulness Sessions
Yoga and mindfulness sessions
(6 – 12 sessions, 50-60 minutes)
Yoga and mindfulness sessions can be delivered individually or in groups. They can be online or face to face. Yoga is a way of life. Learning to incorporate aspects of this ancient system of practices can massively enhance your wellbeing and life. There are many different facets to yoga for example pranayama which is also known as breathwork, this is one of the ways alongside asana (the physical postures) and dhyana (meditation) in which you can manage different feelings that arise and quiet the mind to find peace within.
Integrative Clinical Hypnotherapy
Integrative Clinical Hypnotherapy
(5-8 Sessions, 90-120 minutes)
Is a form of psychotherapy that uses methods of hypnosis to therapeutically treat a variety of issues. Guided relaxation is used to go to an altered state of reality (e.g. going into auto pilot when driving a car) in this state you are still in control and safe, but the thinking mind and negative or destructive thinking patterns and beliefs are quietened. In this state negative patterns or core beliefs can be recognised and reprogrammed in your subconscious mind. Suggestions from the therapist will instil newer more helpful beliefs, helping you to overcome any issues that are keeping you feeling stuck.
EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy
EMDR
(6-12 Sessions, 60-90 minutes)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy is a gold standard treatment shown by the research to be effective for trauma and PTSD. The eye movements activate the brains natural memory processing mechanisms, allowing the traumatic memories that have overwhelmed the brain and been stored abnormally to be processed. EMDR helps the brain to process the memory in short chunks that aren’t too overwhelming. This allows your brain to desensitise to the memory so that it can be consolidated and stored into longer term memory.
