restoring balance

Welcome to Tulā Integrated Wellness

तुल

Hi, I am Dominique.

I am a BABCP accredited Psychotherapist & Yoga Practitioner with over 10 years of experience supporting people to improve their mental health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. May be you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, or low self-esteem, and you are finding it difficult to regain your sense of balance. Whatever challenges you are facing, I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

My approach is holistic and tailored to your individual needs. I specialise in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I also like to share yoga and meditation techniques. These approaches can be used individually or combined to create a personalised pathway towards healing, growth, and lasting change.

I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their strengths, overcome obstacles, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.

Sessions are available online.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to support you on your journey.

My Approach

The name Tulā comes from Sanskrit and means balance. I chose this name to reflect the philosophy that underpins my work and the journey that led me here.

In 2015, I travelled to India to begin my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, later continuing my studies in Mysore. These experiences profoundly shaped my understanding of health, wellbeing, and personal growth. They introduced me to a way of viewing wellbeing that honours the interconnected relationship between mind, body, and spirit, and this perspective continues to inform my work today.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that lasting change happens when we move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin to understand ourselves more deeply. Our thoughts, emotions, physical experiences, relationships, and life experiences are all interconnected. When one area is out of balance, it often affects the whole person.

This understanding forms the foundation of Tulā Integrated Wellness. Drawing from both Eastern wisdom and contemporary psychological practice, I offer an approach that is grounded, compassionate, and responsive to each individual’s unique needs.

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Every person arrives with their own history, challenges, strengths, and goals. For this reason, I tailor our work together to create a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, collaborative, and meaningful. While evidence-based approaches provide a strong foundation, I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is equally important. Feeling safe, understood, and accepted creates the conditions for genuine healing and growth.

Many of the difficulties we experience in life can be traced back to patterns that developed in response to challenging experiences, stress, or trauma. These patterns often begin as ways of protecting ourselves but can later become obstacles to living fully and freely. Through therapy, we can gently explore these patterns, develop greater self-awareness, and create new ways of responding that feel more aligned with who you are and how you want to live.

Where appropriate, I may integrate practices such as mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, relaxation techniques, or mindful movement to support emotional regulation and nervous system wellbeing. These approaches can help strengthen the connection between mind and body, creating greater resilience, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of inner balance.

My aim is to provide a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and explore whatever is most important to you. Together, we can work towards greater clarity, self-understanding, and lasting change, helping you move forward with a stronger sense of balance, confidence, and connection to yourself.

List of services

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

(EMDR) Therapy is a gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to support the brain’s natural ability to process distressing experiences. Traumatic memories can sometimes become “stuck” and continue to trigger emotional distress long after an event has passed. EMDR helps you process these memories in manageable stages, reducing their emotional intensity and enabling them to be integrated into long-term memory in a more adaptive way. As treatment progresses, memories typically become less distressing, allowing you to move forward with greater confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is an evidence-based psychological talking therapy that helps people develop practical coping skills for a range of emotional and mental health difficulties. CBT explores the links between your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours to identify patterns that may be maintaining problems and distress. It is a structured, goal-oriented, and collaborative therapy that focuses on the present and on developing effective strategies for change. Sessions often involve exercises and tasks between appointments to help apply new skills in everyday life. CBT aims to help you make lasting positive changes in how you think, feel, and behave. (12-20 sessions, 50-60 minutes)

Yoga and Mindfulness

sessions can be offered remotely. Rooted in an ancient tradition, yoga is a holistic practice that supports physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Through practices such as asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath work), and dhyana (meditation), yoga can help regulate emotions, reduce stress, improve self-awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of calm and balance. Beyond its wellbeing benefits, many people find that a regular yoga and mindfulness practice supports personal growth and a deeper connection with themselves, others, and the world around them.
